1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the SecureStag mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and SecureStag ("we," "us," or "our").

2. Description of Service

SecureStag is a cybersecurity news aggregation application that provides:

• Curated security news from trusted sources
• Article categorization by security topics
• Bookmark functionality to save articles
• Search and discovery features
• User accounts for personalization

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use this App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that:

• You are at least 13 years of age
• You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
• You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations

4. Account Registration

4.1 Creating an Account

To access certain features, you must create an account using:

• Email address and password
• Apple Sign-In
• Google Sign-In (when available)

4.2 Account Security

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

4.3 Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from the Profile tab. Upon deletion:

• All your data will be permanently deleted
• You will lose access to saved bookmarks
• This action cannot be undone

5. Acceptable Use Policy

5.1 Permitted Use

You may use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes to:

• Browse and read cybersecurity news
• Bookmark articles for later reading
• Search for specific topics or keywords
• Share articles via standard sharing mechanisms

5.2 Prohibited Activities

You agree NOT to:

• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or networks
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to extract content
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Remove or modify any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality or servers
• Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or harmful code
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Collect or harvest information about other users

6. Content and Intellectual Property

6.1 Third-Party Content

News articles displayed in the App are sourced from third-party publishers and content providers. SecureStag:

• Does not own the copyright to these articles
• Provides links to original sources
• Displays article summaries for informational purposes (fair use)
• Is not responsible for the accuracy or content of third-party articles

6.2 App Intellectual Property

The App's design, code, features, branding, and user interface are owned by SecureStag and protected by:

• Copyright laws
• Trademark laws
• Intellectual property rights

6.3 User-Generated Content

Currently, the App does not support user-generated content (comments, reviews, etc.). This may change in future versions.

7. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

• We collect minimal personal information (email, user ID)
• We do not sell your data to third parties
• We use industry-standard security measures
• You can delete your account and data at any time

8. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

8.2 No Professional Advice

The cybersecurity news and information provided through the App is for informational purposes only and does not constitute:

• Professional security advice or consulting
• Legal, financial, or technical recommendations
• Endorsement of any products, services, or companies mentioned

8.3 Third-Party Links

The App contains links to third-party websites and content. We are not responsible for:

• The availability or content of external websites
• Privacy practices of third-party sites
• Any damages resulting from visiting external links

8.4 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SECURESTAG SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
• Damages arising from use or inability to use the App
• Damages arising from reliance on information in the App

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED $100 USD OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS, WHICHEVER IS LESS.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SecureStag, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including attorney's fees) arising from:

• Your use or misuse of the App
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another party
• Your violation of applicable laws or regulations

10. Termination

10.1 By You

You may terminate your account at any time by:

• Deleting your account in the Profile tab
• Uninstalling the App from your device

10.2 By Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, without notice, for:

• Violation of these Terms
• Fraudulent or illegal activity
• Abuse of the service or other users
• Any other reason at our sole discretion

10.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

• Your right to use the App immediately ceases
• Your account and data may be deleted
• Sections that by their nature should survive (indemnification, disclaimers, limitations of liability) will remain in effect

11. Updates and Changes to the App

We reserve the right to:

• Modify or discontinue the App or any features at any time
• Update the App with new versions or bug fixes
• Change these Terms with notice to users

Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will:

• Update the "Last Updated" date at the top
• Notify you via email or in-app notification
• Post the new Terms in the App

Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

13.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of California, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

13.2 Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through:

1. Informal Negotiation: Contact us to resolve the issue informally
2. Binding Arbitration: If informal resolution fails, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association rules

13.3 Class Action Waiver

You agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis only, not as part of any class, consolidated, or representative action.

14. Miscellaneous

14.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and SecureStag regarding the App.

14.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

14.3 No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

14.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction.

14.5 Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control (natural disasters, war, terrorism, etc.).

15. Apple App Store Requirements

If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that:

• These Terms are between you and SecureStag, not Apple
• Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance
• Apple is not responsible for product liability claims
• Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms with respect to the App
